パッケージマネージャで1つずつ見つけてインストールする代わりに、ディストリビューションのGIMPパッケージ（現在2.8.22）のすべての依存関係をインストールするようにパッケージマネージャに指示できます。私は2.8.xでまったく必要ないものに加えて、libmypaintと最新のbablとgeglを見つけました。これはあなたが経験しているほとんどの（すべてではありませんが）問題を解決します。

GIMP 2.9.x バージョンには 2.8.x よりも新しい依存関係バージョンが必要な場合がありますが、GIMP はそのバージョンを改善するのにかなり保守的な傾向があるため、そのバージョンを引き続き使用できます。

ソースパッケージの依存関係をインストールするために、yumとdnfは両方ともbuilddepコマンドを提供します。私はFedoraを直接使用せずに試してみることはできませんが、最初の試みは次のとおりです。
