{commands} should be a complete command.  If
{commands} does not finish a command, the last one
will be aborted as if <Esc> or <C-C> was typed.

aを完了するには、/patternを押す必要がありますEnter。しかし、 を押すとEnter実際に:normalコマンドが完了するので、/patternまだ不完全です。

Enter+を使用してコマンドの一部として含めることができます。CtrlVEnter

:normal /over^M

VimはCtrlV+Enterをマークします^M。バラより:h c_CTRL-V。
