Debian 9 では、SSH とローカルのルートログインは間違ったパスワードを使用する可能性があります。

rootユーザー名を使用してSSH経由でローカルにDebian 9システムにログインしようとしています。無効なパスワードでログインします。正しいパスワードを使用してコンピュータにアクセスしたいです。ルートアカウントのパスワードが無効なのはなぜですか？ローカルとSSHを介して正しいパスワードが必要になるように、この問題をどのように解決できますか？

SSHの場合は、rootユーザーのみを許可します。興味深いことに、UsePAMをnoに変更すると、正しいルートパスワードで動作します。
