xrandrがHDMIポートでモニターを検出しない

私のラップトップにArchがインストールされていますが、この問題はArchに限定された問題ではないようです。現在唯一の問題は、hdmiポートに接続されているモニターが検出されないことです。たとえば、gnomeコントロールセンターでディスプレイアプレットを実行してから「検出」すると、HDMIポートを介してラップトップに接続されている2台目のモニターがあってもノートブックディスプレイのみが検出されます。問題は、xrandrがHDMIポートに接続されているモニタを検出できないようです。この問題をどのように解決できますか？
