iOSのバージョンを確認するには？質問する

iOSデバイスのバージョンが新しいバージョンかどうか確認したいので、3.1.3次のようなことを試しました:

[[UIDevice currentDevice].systemVersion floatValue]

しかし、それは機能しません。私が欲しいのはただ次のものです:

if (version > 3.1.3) { }

どうすればこれを実現できるでしょうか?
