元のCDデータの保存サイズは650MiBです。同じスペースに収めることができるオーディオデータの量のため、74分CDとも呼ばれます。 CD-Rが利用可能になった後、700MiB（または80分）のCD-Rが表示され始めました。今日販売されているほとんどのCD-Rはこれらの最新タイプです。
私は733MiBを収納できるCD-Rを見たことがありません。「CD-R」のAmazon検索結果の最初のページそれほど大きくはないようです。
