Xpdfのマニュアルページには次の内容があります。それはカスタマイズすることができますViスタイルのキーバインディングを使用してください。

Previous  versions  of  xpdf  included  a  "viKeys" X resource.  It is no
longer available, but the following bindings are equivalent:

   bind h any scrollLeft(16)
   bind l any scrollRight(16)
   bind k any scrollUp(16)
   bind j any scrollDown(16)

バージョン 3.03 がインストールされました。.xpdfrcしたがって、少なくともここでは開いて読むことができますが、straceどの設定も影響を与えません。ダウンロードしてテスト済みバージョン 3.04ここでバインディングはうまくいきます。

すぐに次の操作を行います。

wget ftp://ftp.foolabs.com/pub/xpdf/xpdf-3.04.tar.gz
tar xzvf xpdf-3.04.tar.gz
cd xpdf-3.04

FreeType 2開発バージョンとMotif開発バージョンをインストールします。 Debian のような場合:

apt-get install libmotif-dev libfreetype6-dev libfreetype6

構成と製造：

# Read INSTALL
./configure --with-freetype2-includes=/usr/include/freetype2
make

テスト：

./xpdf/xpdf Path_to_some.pdf

含む:

pdfdetach  pdfimages  pdftohtml  pdftoppm   pdftotext  
pdffonts   pdfinfo    pdftopng   pdftops    xpdf

よさそうですね。 vi（m）バインディングが必要な場合は、vimと同じ基本バインディングがたくさんあります。たとえば、などh, j, k, l, :, /, gg, G。キーバインディングなどもの設定可能です。
