コンピュータはUbuntu 14.04 32ビットです。このエラーが印刷されると、Shift-Tab Steam Communityメッセージが表示されたときにビデオ（Aspyrの紹介）が停止するため、この問題はフォント設定に関連していると思われます。テキストは目立たない代わりに奇形的で膨らんでいます。これはsteam 2> error.txt問題が発生した後に私が殺したファイルによって生成されました。

fc-cache -v | grep -i err
（私の場合）78行目でもエラーが発生します。その結果、<matrix>要素は1つだけ必要ですが、/etc/fonts/conf.d/10-scale-bitmap-fonts.conf2つあります。<name>行為:
sudo nano "/etc/fonts/conf.d/10-scale-bitmap-fonts.conf"
追加の行を削除します。

fc-cacheクエリはエラーを返さず、Steam（およびそれ以降のゲーム）をロードすると、これらの行はFontconfig error:もう存在しません。
すべてhttp://linux.die.net/man/5/fonts-conf<double>4つの要素が必要だと思いましたが、<matrix>不要なようです。
