glib-compile-schemasを削除した後、dbusの起動は正常に見えます。

最新のシステムバージョン(v43など)に切り替えると、これらの問題は解決され、ループは発生しなくなります。

p/s: 上記の問題はすべて sysvinit(/etc/init.d/) と systemd の競合に起因するようです。

systemdがsysvinitスクリプトをどのように使用し、どこから始めるのかはまだ疑問に思っています。

/usr/lib/systemd/system で sysvinit スクリプトを起動するコードが見つかりません。新しい質問をする必要がありますか、それともここから始めるべきですか?
