つまり、PasswordAuthenticationサーバー内のファイルのみsshd_configに設定されますyes。

ソースコードを少し見てみると、auth-passwd.cには<pwd.h>が含まれ、auth-shadow.cには<shadow.h>が含まれています。あまり詳しく説明しないと、sshdはシステムコールを使用してパスワードを確認するようです。 sshdが期限切れのパスワードに対してパスワードの変更を要求して変更できるようにするコードもあります。
