konsole を開くと、さらに多くの konsole ウィンドウが開き、過負荷により GUI がクラッシュします。apt purge konsole && apt install konsoleやり直してみましたが、役に立たなかった。

以前の状況で判断すると質問、konsole自分を呼ぶようです。
その内容を確認~youruser/.config/konsolercし、削除して問題を解決します。
