私はffmpegユーティリティが一般的により安定していると思います。努力する：
$ ffplay 'rtsp://username:password@ip_address:port/url'
また、IPカメラRTSPストリームに注意してください。ユーザー名とパスワードが必要な場合がよくあります。。
Foscam対応カメラのデフォルト設定：ポート88でありURLはいvideoMain、、、videoSubまたはaudio。
