wpa_supplicantとdhclientを介してWi-Fiに手動で接続してみてください。次のコマンドを実行する必要があります。
wpa_passphrase ssid password > /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf
wpa_supplicant -Dwext -iwlan0 -c /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf
dhclient wlan0
ssid=Wi-Fi名
wpa_supplicantを実行してから接続するのを待ってからbg（ctrl + z; bg）に移動するか、別の端末を使用してdhclientを実行します。
